Please Review Our Listing Policy

Please review our Listing Policy, found near the bottom of the Vendor Terms & Conditions page. There are several reasons why this policy is important:

Traffic is picking up on the site and a lot of it is new customers who’ve never used our site. Following the guidelines in the Listing Policy makes it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for.

Following the guidelines also makes your listings more visible on the site, which only helps increase your sales.  It might seem silly to you to have to include the words “Whole Inserts” or putting that coupon value right at at the beginning of your listing but that’s what makes your listings show up in more places on and off the site.  I know this because I’ve researched it.

These guidelines were not set up on a whim. They are there to help people find your listings! I have been working online since 2007 and I know a thing or two about how to get our site to show up in Google searches.

More than 60% of our traffic comes from people who search for a specific coupon on Google. And those people are finding those coupons on OUR site because of our Listing Policy. This is HUGE! I have friends who have websites who only dream about reaching 25%!

Do NOT Use the OOS Tag On Your Listings!

I use the OOS tag to sort out coupons that are going to expire within the next 7 days. After 24 hours, I delete those coupons from the site. If you are using the OOS tag because you think it will make your listings show up more in searches, you’re right, it will. For about 24 hours. Then that listing will be deleted, even if the expiration date is still 2 years out.

Please Limit The Number Of Tags You Use

Tags are used as a way for customers to sort through our site and narrow their choices.  I do understand that Colgate Toothpaste can be used to polish chrome, but please do not use the “household cleaner” tag on it.  If the customer is searching for household cleaners she doesn’t want toothpaste to pop up in the mix.  One of the reasons our customers love this site is because it’s so easy for them to find what they’re looking for.

You Should Use Attributes for Insert Dates

Now that we have the new Facebook page and Newsletter (more info on these down below) it will help YOU if you use attributes when creating your listings. Especially the attributes for Insert Date. (Attributes for Expiration Dates aren’t as important, but they’re also helpful).

Those attributes are another way to sort our listings and I use them a lot when I’m posting on Facebook and the Newsletter. For example, I might tell readers that the “New 6/21 Whole Inserts” are here. If you look at that link it shows 4 listings for 6/21 inserts. We actually have 12, but the 6/21 Insert Date Attribute was only used on 4. So if I link to that attribute then the readers are only going to see those 4 choices.

New Facebook Page

Please Like and Follow our new Facebook page. Our old Facebook page was sabotaged a long time ago so I deleted it and I’ve been waiting for the dust to settle. Now that we’re all clear again, please feel free to share your listings on our page.

To share one of your listings just copy the URL from the top of that listing’s page and paste into a post on our Facebook page. I believe I have this set up so that I have to approve posts before they’ll show up so don’t worry if it doesn’t pop up automatically.

I also believe you can post your listings on your own Facebook page and then share them to our page. But, since I’m the Admin on all of these pages I have no way of knowing what works if you’re NOT the admin. In any case, give it a shot and let me know if you need help.

We Also Have A New Newsletter

We have a new newsletter, too! Our previous newsletter also bit the dust because I was targeting the wrong people. With this new newsletter, customers are automatically subscribed when they check out, and even when they abandon a cart.

Our old newsletter had @2500 subscribers over the course of about 2 years, and only about 2% of them ever opened the newsletter. This new newsletter already has 244 subscribers (after just 1 week) and, as of Friday’s newsletter, 30% of them opened it and 11% actually clicked on a link!

I strongly urge you to subscribe to the newsletter so you can see how I’m using it. If you’d like me to feature one of your listings, please send me the link and give me some deal information to pass on to our readers.

New Cut-off Time for Shipping

The new Shipping Policy is as follows: All orders received by Noon EST Mon-Fri must ship the same day. Orders received after the cut-off time must ship the next business day. (Business days are Monday through Friday.) I’ve changed this everywhere I could find it on the website. If you trip over the old cut-off time of 1 pm EST anywhere on the site, please let me know so I can change it.

Product Search Box On Vendor Dashboard

I’m aware this search box isn’t working and I’m working on a fix.  Hope to have this back up and running within the next few days.
